Road Planings Removal in Wolverhampton: 150 Loads for Recycling
MAC Group provided bulk haulage to remove approximately 150 loads of tarmac road planings from a former distribution centre on Hickman Avenue, Wolverhampton, transporting the material to our recycling centre in Nuneaton for processing and reuse.
The project brought together site clearance, road planing and material recycling, with MAC providing the transport between the Wolverhampton site and our Warwickshire facility.
Haulage support for McPhillips
Working as a haulage subcontractor to main contractor McPhillips, MAC supplied trucks to take away material stripped from the site. Watson supplied the planer through McPhillips, loading the removed tarmac directly into MAC vehicles.
With around 150 loads to move, the haulage operation supported the removal of the existing hardstanding as part of the clearance of the former distribution centre.
Recycling road planings in Nuneaton
The road planings were transported to MAC’s recycling centre in Nuneaton for crushing, screening and recycling for reuse.
Processing the removed material provides an opportunity to recover it for further use, making recycling part of the site clearance operation from the outset.
This job connects two parts of MAC’s work: bulk haulage for construction and demolition projects, and the processing of recovered materials at our recycling facility.
Bulk haulage across Wolverhampton and the West Midlands
Based in Nuneaton, MAC Group supports projects across the West Midlands and wider Midlands region. The Hickman Avenue project is an example of our haulage work supporting contractors clearing and preparing former commercial and industrial sites.
